Studio Policy

Booking & Payment

All bookings must be made through our website and paid in full at the time of booking.

A confirmation email will be sent once your booking and payment have been successfully processed.

Your booking is valid only for the reserved time and room. 

If you plan to bring additional people beyond the capacity limit, please contact us in advance by phone or email. Additional fees may apply.

If extra guests arrive without prior notice, they may be asked to wait outside the premises in order to maintain the studio’s approved capacity.


Cancellations & Rescheduling

No refunds are provided for cancellations.

Studio credit will be issued for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the booking start time.

No studio credit or rescheduling options are available for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking.

Studio credit must be used, or the booking rescheduled, within 12 weeks of the original booking date.

No-show appointments are non-refundable and do not qualify for studio credit.


Finding & Accessing the Studio

SAHA Space is located at 501 Alliance Avenue.

The building door is locked on weekends and after 5PM — contact the team at 416 826 1186 no earlier than 10 minutes before your booking to be let in.

Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your scheduled booking time, as the previous team may still be using the space.

Upon arrival, check in with the SAHA team to receive Wi-Fi details and bathroom location.

Please remove outdoor shoes before entering the studio. Feel free to bring clean indoor shoes, or use the shoe covers available on-site.


Freight Elevator

The freight elevator is shared with the building and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Upon arrival, please call or text 416 826 1186 and an on-site attendant will assist with calling the elevator to the third floor. If the attendant is helping another guest, please allow a few minutes for assistance.

We recommend sharing your estimated arrival time in advance at or by phone.

For safety reasons, the freight elevator is for equipment only and cannot carry passengers. All visitors must use the main elevator to access the studio.

Clients are responsible for loading and unloading their own belongings. Studio staff cannot assist with personal items due to liability reasons.


What's Included

The rate covers studio space rental only. Photographer, camera, makeup, and hair services are not included.

Recommendations for photographers, makeup artists, and other creatives can be requested during booking.

The rental includes access to the lighting equipment available in the studio. Please handle all equipment with care and notify the on-site admin immediately if anything is damaged or malfunctioning.

There is a +$40 fee for each full sweep of seamless paper used (up to 10 ft pulled onto the floor).

Photographers and clients are responsible for setting up and operating their own equipment, including lighting. Studio attendants can answer basic operational questions but cannot assist with lighting setup or guarantee shooting results.

The cyc wall is repainted white once per week by default. For a pristine, smudge-free wall, add the $80 Re-Paint add-on during booking.


Conduct & Safety

No alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vaping are permitted on the premises. Anyone under the influence will not be allowed to enter the studio. Violations may result in fines ranging from $500 to $100,000.

No open flames unless fully enclosed in glass (for example, enclosed candles). Open-flame candles may drip wax and damage studio surfaces.

No dry ice, sparklers, smoke machines, or similar atmospheric effects are permitted.

No glitter under any circumstances.

Confetti, fake snow, feathers, or similar materials require booking an additional cleanup hour. Otherwise, a $50 cleanup fee may apply and the session may be stopped early.

Music must be kept at a respectful volume and may not contain explicit or offensive content. Noise complaints from neighbouring units may result in a minimum $100 fine.

Aggressive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or other guests is not tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund, as well as a permanent ban from the studio.

The studio may only be used for legal purposes. Illegal activity, discrimination, harassment, violence, or pornographic content are strictly prohibited.

Studio capacity limits must always be respected.


Setup & Equipment

Studio attendants can help you set up lighting, props, or equipment. Clients are fully responsible for their own setup and breakdown.

Please factor setup and cleanup time into your booking period, as additional preparation time is not included separately.

If you need to move furniture or props, lift them instead of dragging. Dragging may damage floors and furniture legs.

Do not step on furniture while wearing shoes.

Please return all furniture, props, and equipment to their original positions before leaving.

All tape must be removed from floors and surfaces at the end of the session.


Common Areas & Personal Belongings

Please bring all personal belongings into the studio and take them with you after your session.

We are not responsible for items left in common areas, hallways, or shared spaces. Please help keep these areas clean and tidy.

We do not store equipment, props, or deliveries before or after bookings unless arranged in advance and approved by the studio team. Additional fees may apply.

If you need to coordinate item delivery or temporary storage, please contact us ahead of time at.


During Your Session

Studio attendants may enter the room within 10 minutes of your booking end time to inspect the space.

Attendants may also check rooms during sessions if loud noises, furniture dragging, or rule violations are suspected. Staff will always knock before entering and provide a warning when possible.

Common areas are monitored by security cameras. Studio rooms themselves are not monitored.

Studio rooms are not soundproof. Please remain considerate of neighbouring units and other sessions taking place in the building.

Please leave the studio exactly as you found it.

A $100 cleaning fee may be charged if:

  • garbage is left behind

  • equipment is not returned

  • furniture is moved and not reset

  • tape is left on floors or surfaces

  • the studio is left excessively dirty or disorganized

If the room is found untidy during the end-of-session check, clients may be asked to stop shooting and clean the space before leaving.


Overtime

Any time used beyond the scheduled booking period is billed at $150/hour in 30-minute increments.

Additional time may be added in 30-minute blocks if the studio is available. Please check with the studio team during your session.


Damage Fees

Clients are financially responsible for any damage caused during their booking.


Lost Items

SAHA Space is not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten belongings.

Items found after sessions will be kept lost and found for up to 21 days.

If you believe you left something behind, please contact the studio team as soon as possible.


Makeup Room

If you need time to get ready before your session, our MAKEUP ROOM can be booked as an add-on before your studio reservation begins.

The makeup room is available exclusively to clients with an active studio booking.


Pets

Pets are not allowed in the studio. Service animals are exempt. Please have proof available upon request.

Our standard operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, by appointment only.

Studio tours must be scheduled in advance to ensure a team member is available to assist you. Walk-ins are not permitted.

Bookings outside standard operating hours may be arranged upon request.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

Any personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for providing studio services and managing reservations.

We do not share personal information with third parties unless required by law.
